The problem
Rumours in the Gulf spread on social media in Arabic faster than anyone can check them.
Claims about school closures, government decisions and old photos passed off as new circulate on X, Instagram, TikTok and Telegram, often in Gulf dialect. Checking one by hand means finding the right ministry or news agency account and searching it, then doing the same in English.
What we built
A bilingual engine that checks a claim against official sources and cites every one.
A user pastes a social media link or uploads an image or video. Haqiqa extracts the post, isolates the single verifiable claim and its dialect, then searches selected government and media X accounts, the web and reverse-image results in parallel. A synthesis step weighs the evidence and returns a score, a verdict and an Arabic and English explanation linked to its sources.
